One of your channel emotes at random, or all of them.

Platforms: Twitch only - Kick has no emote API the bot can read, so both read blank in Kick chat.

Your channel’s subscriber, follower and bits emotes, by name - so the bot’s message shows the emote images in chat (for viewers who have access to them).

Twitch only

Kick has no emote API the bot can read, so {emote} and {emotes} read blank in Kick chat. (Kick emotes still work in the overlay widgets, which read them from the browser.)

The bot can only show emotes it owns

Twitch draws an emote only if the account sending the message is allowed to use it. The bot posts as TipPageBot (or your custom bot), so:

• Sub emotes show up only if the bot is subscribed to your channel - gift it a sub (a Tier 1 gift unlocks Tier 1 emotes, and so on).
• Follower emotes show up if the bot follows you.
• Bits emotes can’t be unlocked for the bot.

{emote} and {ai:} only ever use emotes the bot can actually display - so if the bot isn’t subbed or following, {emote} is empty rather than a word. {emotes} lists everything, because that’s for your viewers to read.

Third-party emotes are separate

{emote} is your Twitch emotes only. Your 7TV, BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ emotes have their own variables - {7tv} / {bttv} / {ffz} - and they have none of the entitlement rules above, because they’re just words the viewer’s extension turns into images. {7tv} works in Kick chat too.

Notes

• {emotes} is capped at 400 characters so the message fits.
• Refreshes every 10 minutes.
• The AI variable also knows your emote names - see {ai:}.
